COVID-19

PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS -Please use MHOL where possible for script requests. Patients will understand that the practice will now need to introduce temporary measures to reduce the risks to patients and staff.

If you need to order your repeat prescription this can be done by

  • either placing your request through the letterbox next to main entrance or prescription box situated in the entrance lobby. Please refrain from entering the main reception area. If you don't have your repeat prescription tear off slip, a request form can be accessed via our website or entrance lobby.
  • On MY HEALTH ON-LINE (MHOL) if registered to use

If you usually collect your prescription from the practice, we would ask patients to consider either providing a stamped self-address envelope or stating your preferred Pharmacy for collection in order to reduce the need to attend the practice.

Smear Clinic -  **Due to the current circumstances, the practice will be suspending all smear clinics until further notice**

PRIVACY NOTICE

We hold data about our patients and staff too, and we have a privacy policy too!

There is a copy of our privacy notice on our website under 'Practice Policies', and we have posters displayed in our waiting areas.

 

If you wish to opt out of your health record being shared with other health professionals see post on the Welsh Health Record (www.gprecord.wales.nhs.uk ), or to opt out of receiving text message appointment reminders and health messages, please let us know

Sister Debbie Lavin (f)

RGN

Debbie has worked at Radyr Medical Centre since 2003 and has more than 25 years practice nurse experience.  She has an interest in respiratory health (asthma/copd/spirometry), childhood immunisations, lifestyle advice (weight management/smoking cessation) and travel health.

Sister Louise Williams (f)

RNA (Cardiff 2007) BSc (Hons) SPQ GPN 

Louise joined the team at Radyr in 2010.  She runs the practice monitoring clinics (Warfarin/Methotrexate/Lithium). Her interests include health promotion, lifestyle advice, diabetes management, respiratory health (asthma/COPD/spirometry). 

 

 

The nurses offer general health screening and advice and work alongside the doctors in providing treatment for asthma, diabetes, contraception, HRT, dietary needs and smoking cessation.

They also run a travel clinic where all commonly used travel vaccines are available, including Yellow Fever. The nurses organise the annual ‘flu immunisation campaign, and are happy to provide some information and general advice over the telephone daily during the hours of 12:00 – 12:30.
