Smear Clinic -  **The times of our drop in smear clinics are changing**

There will no longer be a clinic on a Friday morning this will be changing to a Thursday afternoon.

New times are as follows;

Tuesdays 11:30 - 12:20

Thursday 15:30 - 16:20

Privacy notice -If you have an email address, you will have had lots of messages from companies telling you about their privacy policy. As you probably know it's all to do with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) coming into force 25th May 2018.

We hold data about our patients and staff too, and we have a privacy policy too!

There is a copy of our privacy notice on our website under 'Practice Policies', and we have posters displayed in our waiting areas.

Practice Management

Mrs Hannah Bird (f)

Mrs Hannah Bird joined our team as our practice manager in December 2016.  She has lots of health experience, having worked for the Cardiff University Health Board for some 10 years before her appointment in Radyr.

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.


Responsible for making appointments for the doctors and nurses, administering repeat prescriptions and operating the switchboard.  They ensure the smooth running of surgeries and do a difficult job.  Please remember if you are sometimes kept waiting or if questions seem irritating, the receptionist is only carrying out our policies which are aimed at the smooth and efficient running of the practice.  This is especially relevant when a home visit is being requested, and the receptionist has to judge the urgency of your request.  Please notify changes of address, telephone number or personal details as soon as possible. In an emergency this can be vital.

Lesley McDonald

Mrs Lesley McDdonald is our Office Manager.  She ensures smooth-running of the administrative systems at the practice, and supports the clinicans and practice manager with clerical matters.  She also supervises our adminstrative team.

Andrea Jones (f)

 Andrea Jones in the practice Business Manager.  She provides IT support, helps improve practice efficiency and is our GP contract lead.
